900 Bulgarian libraries will be given modern computer equipment by the foundation “Bill and Melinda Gates”.

Expectations indicate that the project will be realized over the next 4-5 years, said “Global libraries – Bulgaria”, partners of the program and organizers of the first work meeting on this topic in the country, which took place yesterday in Plovdiv. Such discussions with representatives of local libraries will take place in another 27 Bulgarian cities.

The project was successfully realized in other countries in Eastern Europe – Lithuania and Latvia. The project application forms have to be filled out by July 27th, said the secretary of the library “Mladost” Elena Apostolova.
