Dimitar Berbatov headed for Atletico Madrid?
Speculation surrounding new Manchester United signings are rife. This time around, Spanish media has included the name of Bulgarian international Dimitar Berbatov.
According to Spanish media, quoted by Dnevnik daily, Alex Ferguson is still chasing the services of Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid, but the Spanish club have slapped a 60 million euro price tag on the player.
One possible solution is for the Red Devils to offer Nani in exchange as well as 40 million euro, as Manchester United would be ‘reluctant’ to pay 60 million EUR. The second alternative is for them to swap Dimitar Berbatov and fork out 20 million EUR in cash.
The news emanating from Spain has ‘wreaked havoc” in Manchester United fan forums. According to Dnevnik daily, the majority of United fans would prefer that Dimitar Berbatov stays, rather than have Aguero over at Old Trafford.
