Earthquake shook Northern Bulgaria
An earthquake shook Northern Bulgaria last night, announced the Citizen’s protection department.
According to data from the Seismologic center of the Bulgarian academy of sciences, the earthquake started 96 km. deep within the surface of the world, and at about 400 km. away to the north-east of Sofia. Estimates show that the epicenter was in the region of the Vrancea mountain in Romania.
The earthquake had a magnitude of 5,3 on the Richter scale and was felt throughout Northern Bulgaria.
Up to now, there is no data for injured citizens or material damage. Teams from the Ministry of emergencies are ready to assist if necessary.
