Increasing interest in Baba Vida

The interest in the only preserved medieval fortress in Bulgaria – “Baba Vida” – is increasing, said the manager of the history museum of Vidin Fionera Filipova. During the weekend, the fortress has been visited by 570 people. The museum guides retold the story of the building to three Bulgarian and foreign tourist groups.

The entry ticket to the fortress is just 2 leva. The price of the history lecture in Bulgarian or English costs 4 leva. The prices have been defined by the Municipality council and have been stable throughout the years, noted the manager.

The fortress also hosts weddings. The price of the ritual inside the stone halls is 300 leva. The entry fee for all the wedding guests is 150 leva.
