Kozloduy is the municipality with the most innovative practices, announced the Foundation for development of local governments during the holiday of the city.

On the eve of the 40th anniversary of Kozloduy as a city, a representative of the Foundation for local governments and local reforms officially handed the award for “Municipality of innovation 2009” to the mayor Rumen Manoev. The statue resembles a spiral, and symbolizes rising to new heights.

Apart from the award, the municipality administration received a digital camera to capture it’s future accomplishments. All employees of the municipality administration and representatives of all institutions that participated in the innovation competition attended the award ceremony.

With this award, the Foundation confirmed the general opinion that Kozloduy is the unofficial champion of innovation of Bulgaria.
