“I do not expect bankruptcy of hospitals despite the worldwide financial crisis”, declared the minister of healthcare Eugene Zhelev in Plovdiv.

“Directors of hospitals will not be fired at the moment,” added Zhelev and clarified that because of the signals of ill-used funds the inspection of hospitals will continue. The minister explained, that the budget for healthcare is increased by 400 million leva.

Zhelev added that the project for demonopolization of the healthcare fund will be completed very soon.
