“There will not be a raise of prices of heating in Sofia with a back date for January of 2009”. This was stated by the minister of economics and energetics Petar Dimitrov.

The prices remain at the level of December 31st 2008.

The compensation for the bills of consumers is expected to be given as early as February, if there were any surplus charges.

Minister Dimitrov gave an example; for January of last year, the overall taxes were 50 million leva, while this year’s taxes went up as far as 60 million leva.

The minister expressed his hopes, that the citizens of Sofia will remain loyal customers and pay their bills accordingly, as they did in 2008.
