The municipality of Burgas was of great interest to the visitors and guests of the 13th international tourism expo in Istanbul – “Emit” 2009, which took place between February 12th – 15th.

The municipality was invited to participate by the organizers from Turkey.

The goal of the presentation of Burgas was to make the city a more recognizable and attractive tourism destination. The main points of presentation were the cultural-scientific, seaside, festival, hobby and ecological tourism.

Visitors were exposed to advertisements and tourist materials about Burgas, brochures, tourist guides with information for the city, catalogues about the different tourism opportunities, video materials about notable sites in Burgas and maps with the historical and cultural institutes of Burgas.

A pair of pelicans helped the unorthodox presentation of the ecological tourism of the humid zones in Burgas.
