With an average rent price of 79 euro per square meter annually, or 6,5 euro per square meter monthly, Bulgaria climbs twelve spots up the rankings of the most expensive industrial zones, taking the 20th spot and leaving many other European capitals behind.

This was reported by the Cushman & Wakefield research on the “Industrial areas in the world” for 2008, presented in Bulgaria by Forton International, exclusive partner of the company in Bulgaria, Serbia and Macedonia.

The rental rates of industrial grounds in Bulgaria rose by 8% in 2008, which makes Sofia one of the leaders of rising prices in Europe. Companies paid half an euro more in last year, compared 2007.

The rental prices in Bulgaria look even higher compared to the average price for the region – 66 euro per square meter annually.
