The National ruling council of the “Beautiful Bulgaria” project of the Ministry of labour and social politics approved 98 new sites for next year. The sites that will be worked on are from 75 Bulgarian municipalities. The total cost of the projects is 16 863 895 leva, with co-financing from the “Beautiful Bulgaria” budget to the amount of 7 343 966 leva.

87 sites are included in measure 01 – “Better urban environment”, measure 02 -“Better social infrastructure” and measure 02-01 – “Portected homes”. Of them, 19 sites are educational – creches, kindergartens and schools; 41 of them are sites of social importance – administrative buildings, museums, community centres, parks, etc; 5 sites are related to sports – playgrounds, gyms and stadiums; 5 sites are related to healthcare; 11 sites are social houses – protected homes, social services and 6 sites are related to religion.

11 sites worth 882 247 leva are included in measures 03, 04 and 05, thus aiding the craftsmanship, the small and the average family business.

Seven municipalities are new to the “Beautiful Bulgaria” project in 2009. That increases the number of municipalities financed in the 2005-2009 period to 221.
