The current county prosecutor of Plovdiv Andrey Atanasov will succeed Rosen Dimov as a chairman of the Appelate prosecutor’s office in the city. He received 14 votes from the High judicial council.

The other two contestants for the post – the head of the investigation office Iordan Davchev and the vice-appelate prosecutor Rumen Boev received 7 and 3 votes, respectively. One of the members of the High judicial council cast an invalid vote.

Andrey Atanasov will have to take his post in the Appelate prosecutor’s office after April 30th, when the mandate of Rosen Dimov is over.
