The New Bulgarian university with a new Rector
According to the announcement of the New Bulgarian university (NBU), docent dr. Liudmil Georgiev is the new rector of the university. He takes the position from Sergei Ignatov, who became the vice-minister of education.
Docent dr. Liudmil Georgiev was born in Sofia and has a degree in economics. He has defended a doctorate on “Economics and management of territorial systems”.
He’s been in the New Bulgarian university since it’s very beginning. Since 1997, he’s been the vice-rector of the university’s international and scientific activities.
His lecturing courses include subjects like “Regional and local development”, “Administration and management”, “University management”, “Training of administration employees”.
He’s the author of numerous publications, translations and editing of scientific literature, published both in Bulgaria and abroad. He’s author and host of 23 TV shows, including “Alphabet of economics” in the Bulgarian National TV. He’s leader and particiapnt in 24 international and national scientific and educational projects.
