The Southern pass of the Ring-road was opened

“This is the most difficult and expensive road in Bulgaria – it costs nearly 16 million leva per kilometre, but I think that it’s a good Christmas gift for citizens of the capital”, said the prime minister Sergey Stanishev during the opening of the Southern pass of the ring-road of Sofia.

According to the prime minister, citizens expect things done instead of internal conflicts from the institutions.

The mayor of Sofia, Boiko Borisov stated, that the Southern pass is an example for co-ordination of willing institutions, and that should happen more often.

The section of the road was officially opened by the prime minister, the mayor and the director of the National agency for road infrastructure Yanko Yankov.
