Three days of music at Vola Open Air

Music fans, ecology activists and party people in general will once again gather at the historical peak Okolochitsa for the festival Vola Open Air 2009, which will take place on September 4th and 5th. The special guest of the first evening is the British DJ DeeKline.

DJ DeeKline should be on everyone’s must-hear list. His performances are closely related to the most prestigious London clubs – Fabric and The End. He’s a regular guest of Radio 1 of BBC and XFM, performs gigs in Spain in front of 15 000 people, etc. Highlights in his career include the first place in the Australian dance chart with his single “4x4x4” from the album “Breaks, Beats & Blondes”, first spot in the Radio 1 chart with a remix of the Armand Van Helden song “My, My, My”, first spot on the German club music chart with the remix of the Prodigy song “Out of Space”.

All these achievements grant him a well deserved recognition as one of the top five European DJs. He will be supported by MC Ivory. Artists from the drum’n’bass labels HMSU and METAFIZIQ will also face each other at the festival. The second evening will cater to fans of the psy-trance sound, with Atriohm from Skopje as a headliner. Some of the most prominent Bulgarian artists in the genre will also make an appearance.

The second stage is dedicated to DJs from the region, who will present their musical tastes to the audience. The festival is taking place within the nature park “Vrachanski Balkan”.

Hi. I went to the Friday (4th) gig and thought it was absolutely brilliant. I am English but live in Vruv, near Vidin and heard about VOLA through my collegue dj Jeffy of Radio Sky in Vidin.
I do a one hour mix every Friday night.

I thought the atmosphere was tremendous, and I have to be honest in saying that since my arrival in Bulgaria 2 years ago, I was beginning to think that young Bulgarians were shy on the dancefloor, but dj deekline really made the place rock and I look forward to any future events and hope you will keep me updated.

I used to play the clubs around the north of England in the mid 90’s with my deep house – hardfloor mixes, very smooth underground, perhaps a little dated these days.
I was the bald headed geezer at Vola with a tee shirt which read..’Live Hard, because you can’

Anyway, congratulations on a great event, and I will definately see you again next year. Please pass this on to dj deekline

    Kindest Regards JIM HAWKINS
