The executive director of ‘Prista oil” was chosen to be ‘The manager of the year 2008′. The competition was organized by the magazine “Manager” together with Deloit Bulgaria and with the media partnership of Investor.bg

Trifonov has been an executive director of ‘Prista oil” since October 1997. He has majored in Technology of fuels in Sofia. For the period 1970-1997 he worked in the petro-chemical plant ‘Plama’ Pleven. He has participated in the setting up of filial firms of “Prista oil” in Romania, Turkey, Ukraine and Macedonia.

The winner was chosen out of 10 finalists, who received honorary diplomas.

98 representatives of business participated in the competition, which was organized for the first year.

The requirements to the candidates for “Manager of the year” were: to have a high managing post in a medium or big company – with 50 or more employees and/or annual turnover of business activity over 10 million euro and to spend , more than half of their work time in Bulgaria.

The competition was carried out in three stages in the period April – October 2008.
