49 531 new cars, trucks and buses have been sold up to October 2008 in Bulgaria, shows the data of the Association of automobile producers. If the cars sold by other companies are added, the number goes beyond fifty thousand, calculates the website Investor.bg..

The growth of sales for these ten months are nearly 16% compared to the same time last year. The growth of sales of the various automobile types is 14%, with the total amount being 45 838. The trucks and buses sales reached 3693, showing a growth rate of 48,2 percent.

Comparing the growth numbers to those of last year, the worldwide recession of economics is seen in this market branch. Bulgaria is still among the leaders of automobile sales, compared to other countries in Europe.
