“Opening the 3rd and 4th blocks of the nuclear power plant “Kozloduy” will cost Bulgaria 600 million euro, and this will be the most expensive pre-election campaign”, said the chairman of the Commission for internal safety and vice-chairman of the political party NDSV Mincho Spasov on a conferece in Varna.

He clarified that the country will have to pay the exact same amount again, when they have to close the blocks again.

“The idea to make a referendum on the opening of the blocks of the nuclear power plant is not clear yet”, added Spasov. According to him, it is not yet clear whether there is a deal for nuclear fuel from Russia and at what price.
