Hundreds of citizens from Plovdiv and the region gathered at the local airport to watch the spectacular air show for the national Day of aviation and astronautics, organized by the airport of Plovdiv and the club “Young eagle”.

The minister of transport Petar Mutafchiev arrived especially for the demonstrations. The Bulgarian astonaut Alexander Alexandrov also attended the event. The best pilots of the military bases in Graf Ignatievo and Krumovo took part in the show.

The airborne aces demonstrated the rescue of people in a difficult environment and storming enemy forces using the helicopters Bell-206.

The prime part of the show was the performance of the pilots from the air base “Graf Ignatievo”.
