The US ambassador in Bulgaria Nancy McEldowney received the high ranking order “St George” at a ceremony in the Ministry of defence.

Ambassador McEldowney stated that during her one year mandate in Bulgaria, the two countries worked hard to develop strategic partnership – thousands of Bulgarian and American soldiers participated in cooperative training; the US government invested in the Bulgarian infrastructure, etc.

The ambassador thanked Nikolai Tsonev for the order and added, that this reward is for the sake of all men and women in uniform, serving the two countries.
