A special operation of the “General Crime Counteraction” department and the main department “Criminal police” took place on June 5th 2009. Investigators from the main department “Pre-legal procedures” also participated.

The policemen arrested V. D. (34 years old) and I. P. (64 years old) in the process of the crime.

Using fake identity documents, the two signed a contract for securities with face value 160 thousand leva. The theft would’ve directly damaged the national budget.

The case was opened this year, after an investigation on misuse of compensation instruments in the national “Agriculture” department and in it’s regional offices.
