“Stanishev has shown that he is not an European. Thus, I won’t participate in an European debate with him.”

Those were the words of the political party GERB Boiko Borisov to answer the invitation of the chairman of BSP and prime minister of Bulgaria Sergei Stanishev for a public political debate.

“The things that Stanishev has to do now are to stop the appointment of mandate office positions, to fix the budget and stop it’s unduly spending”, said the mayor of Sofia.

Earler today, the prime minister Stanishev commented the behaviour of the mayor of Sofia and leader of GERB: “He shouldn’t whine to the president, to DANS, to the media, or anyone else – he should propose a public debate”.
