The executive council of BSP decided to call an emergency congress of the socialist party on July 18th, which will determine the mandate bearer that will call the 47th congress of BSP in mid-September.

The decision was taken after five hours of debate.

We bear political responsibility. This will the a vote of trust to the current leaders of the party, announced the chairman of the parliamentary group of Coalition for Bulgaria in the 40th National assembly Angel Naidenov.

“The entire executive council is ready to resign if this is what is needed”, announced Naidenov.

The executive council fully supports the leader of the party Sergei Stanishev and his resignation has never been requested, announced the speaker of BSP Cornelia Ninova.
