Burgas with a bigger Christmas tree than the White House
The biggest Christmas tree in Bulgaria is 26,20 metres high, which is equall to a nine-storey building, and weighs 1500 kilograms. The tree is 20 centimetres higher than the Christmas tree of the White House.
The production of the Christmas tree took 35 days, the assembly and decoration – a whole week.
Just the length of the branches is 1500 metres, and their weight – 700 kilos.
The tree can endure strong winds, cold weather, heavy snow and even detonation. The tree itself is a metallic construction with rings of different diameters and lengths.
The branches are made of ecological foil. The decorations are in white, silver and blue. 1150 metres of garlands and 1000 coloured balls were used.
