Maria Grozdeva shot the European title
Maria Grozdeva became European champion at the 10 metre air pistol (women) challenge at the European sport shooting championship in Prague.
Grozdeva was very accurate in the series and her 388 points guaranteed her the first place in the discipline.
She began with hesitation, scoring an eight, but quickly fixed her aim and managed to maintain her advantage. The two-time Olympic champion scored 99,4 in the finals and with a total of 487,4 points she earned her gold medal.
Nino Salukvadze (Georgia) remained second, an Lenka Maruskova (the Czech Republic) – third.
