Maya Gorova’s ‘Leaves from the soul’s garden’

Maya Gorova’s new exhibision ‘Leaves from the soul’s garden’ will be opened in the ‘Vazrazhdane’ gallery in Plovdiv on September 23.

The artist from Sofia is famous in the field of still life, landscape painting and symbolical recreation of human history, religion and philosophy on the canvas. Her visual world, handled with the smallest details, emanates the ritual ability of objects to carry their symbolic power beyond time. The paintings from her exhibition are inspired of the haiku poetry of great Japanese poets – Basho, Buson, Shiki, Shoah and others.

The main stress lays on nature – tribute to the completely harmonious world of animals and plants where the only reminders of human presence are mussy remnants.
