Targovishte will work on a project for the European perspective for development of cultural and historical tourism in the municipality.

The municipality of Targovishte will co-operate with the Portugese municipality Santa Maria da Feira. The project costs well over 220 000 leva, and the deadline is within fourteen months.

The project aims at the development of cultural and historical tourism and the recognition of Targovishte as an attractive tourism destination. The Bulgarian and the Portugese municipalities will share their experience in the fields of marketing and creation of attractive tourism products.

Representatives from Targovishte will join a training course for developers of marketing campaigns. They will also visit the municipality Santa Maria da Feira.
