The councillor from DSB Vili Lilkov will introduce a report and proposal for the restriction of construction in the historical center of Sofia to the Municipality council of Sofia.

His report is based on the laws for structuring of territory, according to which a two-year restriction can be placed on a zone with no currently approved construction plans.

The report is an answer to the proposal of the National institute for the preservation of cultural heritage (NIPK) to nominate the historical center of Sofia for cultural heritage of international importance.

Lilkov commented that for now it will be beneficial for NIPK to change the status of the buildings that are of cultural importance.
