The 47th congress of BSP begins
The 47th congress of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) will take place this weekend. The event is under the slogan “We create a better tomorrow”. Over 890 delegates will participate in the forum, which is 200 more than the previous one. At this congress, the socialists will agree on the new program, the new regulations and political goals, and a new logo – a stylized red rose with two green leaves.
A new governing body of the leftist party will be chosen as well. The only expected nomination for Chairman of the party is the one of the current leader and Prime Minister of Bulgaria Sergey Stanishev.
The participation of BSP in the next parliamentary elections and elections for European deputees will also be discussed. An official report of the achieved goals will be presented at the congress, followed by concepts for the future of the socialist party in the next few years. The socialists hope to convey two things with the 47th congress – the consolidation and innovation in BSP.
