The only living witness of the life in the king’s palace in Krichim – the 94 year old Ivanka Nikolova – was living evidence for the closed court session of the Regional court which was had to determine the owner of the estate.

The lawsuit was sent in by Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha and his sister Maria Louizza, who want to have the palace as their property once more. The government is the other side of the lawsuit.

The old woman spoke of her life in the palace after 1930 in front of magistrates. According to the lawyer of the royal family Eli Hristova, the evidence presented by the elderly Ivanka will confirm the thesis in favour of the family Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.
