The celebration for the 120th anniversary of the Sofia University and the 120th anniversary of universiy education in Bulgaria continues.

At 9:00 AM, the rector of the Sofia University prof. Ivan Ilchev made a speech in the ceremonial hall. Afterwards, lectures on the following topics were also presented: “The role of a university in the communication era”, “Free minds – archaeology of the university idea”, “The university as a cathedral”, etc.

At 12:00 AM, the rector of gave the grand award for scientific researches “Sofia University”.

At 15:30 PM, a procession of students, lectors, employees, friends and foreign guests walked from the Rectorate of the Sofia University to the National theatre “Ivan Vazov”. Wreaths were lain on the statues of St. Clement of Ohrid and the house-museum of Ivan Vazov.
