The lights of the official Christmas tree of Sofia will be turned on tomorrow at 18:00 PM, announced from the municipality of Sofia.

The tree is in the garden of hotel “Rila”. It’s over 15 metres high and for a second consecutive year will be the highlight of the Christmas decorations of the capital. The decorations include 5 km. garlands, over 15 000 lamps, about a hundred ribbons and lSanterns.

Before the tree is lit, the cultural institute “Sredets” will entertain the audience with performances of a living statue – “Christmas angel” and dancing “Christmas stars”. Actors and puppeteers acting as Santa Claus and his dwarves will actively engage the audience in the event.
