The largest Bulgarian diaspore is in Spain – 154 000 people. 32 000 of them are in Madrid. That was announced by the minister of labour and social politics Emiliya Maslarova after coming back after the first international labour market of Bulgaria in a country member of the EU – Spain.

Minister Maslarova pointed out, that 82,5 % of the Bulgarians in Spain are in the age range between 25 -39 years. 52 % of the Bulgarians in Spain don’t practice the profession they studied for, and just over 11 000 of the Bulgarians in Spain have proper insurance, informs the media agency Focus.

The minister also said, that most of the Bulgarian children study in Spanish schools, and a Bulgarian school is only present in Madrid.
