The rock formations near Belogradchik ranked fourth in the final lists for the new seven wonders of the world. Voting at the website New7Wonders.com ended yesterday. Eleven natural wonders from all seven groups will enter the final group of 77 phenomenons.

The first four wonders out of these seven groups will then go to the next stage. That stage will have a total of 28 wonders from all over the world to vote for.

The fourth place of the rock formations near Belogradchik almost guarantees their participation in the further stages, explained the mayor of Belogradchik Emil Tsankov.
