The Varna tourism chamber (VTC) and the municipal establishment “Rituals” intend to turn Varna into a preferred destination for wedding tourism in Europe.

According to the chairman of VTC Marin Neshkov, the pamphlet will soon be uploaded in the internet website of the chamber and it’s tourist company.

“The first presentation of Varna as a wedding tourism destination will be made during this year’s international expo in Bucharest in March”, clarified dr. Neshkov.

A research of VTK revealed that over the last five years, the interest in this sort of tourism worldwide grew four times. 16% of the newly weds preferred celebrating abroad. New York is now favored over Vegas as a preferred place for weddings, wedding trips and anniversaries, etc. Prague was literally flooded with brides and grooms.

“Bulgaria isn’t among the 17 popular countries for wedding tourism, and it is our job to change that”, comments the VTC chairman.
