Miss Bulgaria 2009 Antonia Petrova and the new ambassador of the Netherlands in Bulgaria – Karel Van Kesterel opened this year’s ecology festival “The Magic of the lake of Pomorie”.

The Dutch diplomat and Antonia Petrova watched the birds in the lake with the special observation equipment.

Miss Bulgaria tried the therapeutic mud herself, and a group of enthusiasts held a real mud wrestling game.

This was made possible by the heroic efforts of a volunteer from the “Green Balkans” organization, who brought the mud out of the lake minutes before the opening and attracted the interest of all visitors of the Museum of salt.

The idea of the festival by the lake is to popularize the natural wonders of the locale, which is under the protection of UNESCO and is part of the NATURA network.
