The misuse of 112 as well as informing of untrue and misleading messages and signals for help will be fined 2 to 5 thousand leva. If the fake signal causes mobilizing resources of the emergency services, the fine will be from 10 to 20 thousand leva.

If the violations repeat the sanctions will double.

In the future 112 will be dialed free from any phone, including public phones. The other national security numbers – 150, 160 and 166, will be used parallel with 112.
