8 000 ton ship of the Ruse shipyard makes a “debut” in the Danube
The 8 000 ton deadweight ship with a length of 128,45 m. will be released in the waters today in the firth of the “Ruse shipyard” AD. It was ordered by a group of Dutch companies.
For the first time ever, the Ruse union produces a ship of that class. This is considered to be a serious step forward for the Bulgarian industry. The usual orders up to now were for vessels between 4000 and 5000 tons deadweight.
The investment for the adaptation of the covered berth is worth 2 million euro. The project for the new ship was prepared entirely by the Technical department of the “Ruse shipyard” AD and is worth about 1 million euro.
