The tourism industry demand 100 million leva from the government because of crisis
The tourism business in Bulgaria demanded 100 million leva from the government to aid the ailing industry in the conditions of an international financial and economical crisis.
The chairman of the Bulgarian association of tourism agencies (BATA) Donka Sokolova talked about the possibilities of provision of the needed funds with the 500 million that the government provided for the aid of small and average businesses. She discussed those possibilities during a press conference, part of the current Spa Expo in the National palace of culture.
The industry can also be supported by the approval of the industry demands for free visas for Russian and Ukrainian tourists during the crisis. This would cost the government about 7-8 million euro.
