The entries for the “Baby of the year” contest are about 50 so far, announced the editor-in-chief of the popular baby magazine “9 mesetsa” (9 months) Antonia Grigorova. The sure contenders for the prize “First baby of 2009” so far, are four.

They are three girls and one boy, all born in the first minute of 2009, in Ruse, Nova Zagora, Asenovgrad and Burgas, respectively. Two boys and one girl were born within the first hours of 2009 in Plovdiv. Two girls were born in the seaside capital of Bulgaria – Varna.
