Boiko Borisov has a week to form a new government
The president Georgi Parvanov handed the mandate to form a government to the leader of GERB Boiko Borisov this morning. It signified the success of GERB at the last elections.
According to the Constitution, he has seven days to propose the structure and the members of the Council of ministers.
When handing the mandate to Borisov, the president wished the future prime minister to form quickly an effective government that satisfies the expectations of the Bulgarian citizens for change and stability.
According to Parvanov, the first priority of the government will be to overcome the crisis with quick and effective counter measures.
The meeting between the two lasted about twenty minutes. The chairwoman of the National assembly Tsetska Tsacheva attended as well.
