Construction of “Nabucco” – cheaper than expected
The dropping prices of raw materials and steel will probably reduce significantly the needed price for the construction of the “Nabucco” pipelines – one of the most important routes connecting Central Asia to Europa – to 7,9 billion euro, announced the newspaper “Monitor”.
“The prices of steel and pipes dropped noticeably and this will compensate the higher interest payments”, saind Rinehard Mitchek, executive director of the project, in an interview. According to him, during the recalculation of needed investments next year, the participants in the consortium might be pleasantly surprised, reports Bloomberg agency.
Since the end of July, the prices of steel have dropped by 47%.
