The best female Bulgarian tennis player Tsvetana Pironkova will face the Slovak Dominika Tsibulkova in the second round of the tournament “Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships” with a grand prize of two million dollars.

Yesterday, the Bulgarian defeated Victoria Kutuzova with 2:0 sets.

During today’s program of the competition, Tsibulkova defeated the Romanian Sorana Kurstya with 2:0 sets. Up to now, Pironkova lost to Tsibulkova three times during various competitions, including the Olympiad in Beijing last year.

Right now Tsibulkova is 18th in the international rankings, and Tsvetana is 51st. Last year, the tournament in Dubai was won by the Russian Elena Dementieva.
