The Agency of employment announced that the percentage of unemployment in Bulgaria is 5,8%, that being 0,09 less than the previous month and 0,98 less on the yearly basis.

The steady tendency for decrease in unemployment observed throughout 2008, is still going strong during October.

There are 214 692 unemployed people, registered in the employment bureaux. That is 3611 people (1,7%) less than the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, the nubmer of unemployed is 36 399 less, or СЃ 14,5%.
